Shashi Bhushan Vemuri

Shashi Bhushan Vemuri is a Former Senior Professor, Principal Scientist and University Head of Entomology Department at ANGRAU and PJTSAU. He has received his Doctoral degree in 1983 with specialization in Pesticide Residues, Insect Toxicology and worked for more than 33 years indifferent capacities as Professor, Researcher and Extension scientist. His Research interests mainly focus on Food safety and Food security issues, Pesticide Residues, Insect Toxicology and IPM. He has worked in collaboration with CIMMYT, Mexico on breeding for Insect Resistance. Also he has worked with the farmers on innovative technologies in sugarcane, Potato, Ginger and Turmeric. Received various awards and Gold medals for his outstanding research, teaching and Extension from the University, Government and other organizations.

Dr. Ulrich Eder is a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) and tax counsel (Steuerberater). As managing director of the Bangkok-based law firm PUGNATORIUS Ltd., he is regularly involved in for-eign direct investments in Thailand’s agriculture, livestock and fishery projects. The law office advises on corporate and investment structures, investment promotions, licensing and patenting, as well as tax structuring. It has a close working contact to Thailand’s Food and Drug Admin-istration at the Ministry of Public Health.
Dr. Craig A Meisner
Senior Technical Advisor, FAO, Bangladesh
Craig Meisner is currently working at FAO as a Senior Technical Advisor for an IFAD funded Government of Bangladesh project, Smallholder Agricultural Competitiveness Project. He has lived and worked in Bangladesh for over 33 years, working as a wheat and maize scientist with CIMMYT, then has worked with IRRI, CIAT, ICRISAT, IWMI, and WorldFish throughout his career. In his work in Bangladesh, Dr Meisner was a full Adjunct Professor with Cornell University for 10 years assisting them with various agricultural and nutritional research in Bangladesh. His scientific work centered around conservation tillage including raised beds for cereals.
